CORAGGIO

Per mia Nonna

Cast out nets, weary though you are, where you would not
Open wide your arms to the washing against your walls;
Reach out grasping hands as you seek to hold the stars
And touch the hearts of neighbors, enemies, those you love.
Go because you do not dare to go.  Or do you?
GOD calls, drawing you beyond yourself, transforming dust
Into a soul that shines, a lighthouse in the night.
Oceans of grace will lift you up on wings like eagles.
